2020 Central Eurasian Studies Conference

The Annual Central Eurasian Studies Conference will be held on February 29, 2020. The entire conference is free and open to the public.

Keynote lecture

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Sören Stark as our keynote speaker at this year's conference. Dr. Stark is an Associate Professor of Central Asian Art and Archaeology at New York University. His research interests include the pre-Muslim Turks, art history, archaeology and, more recently, political and cultural interrelations between pastoral nomads in Central and Inner Asia and their sedentary neighbors. He will be delivering a keynote address entitled "Hellenism in Central Asia? Archaeological Perspective on Rural Bukhara during Antiquity."
